17 Items Vogue Editors Purchased (and Loved) in March

All products featured on Vogue are independently selected by our editors. However, we may earn affiliate revenue on this article and commission when you buy something.

As Vogue editors, we often wax poetic on the latest runway must-haves, but not every item we gush about on this website ultimately ends up in our closets and homes. Our discoveries are nice to behold—they’re lovely to look at and inspire fun conversation—however, of all the tempting things to buy, what did we actually end up purchasing? Each month we’ll highlight those special finds our editors welcomed into their lives—all the things that made us buyers rejoice.

Nothing screams I’m ready for spring! like a cheerful, head-to-toe floral-printed dress. Once I saw this maximalist piece by Rixo, it was a done deal. From sandals to chunky boots to white sneakers, the outfit ideas are endless to wear all season long.

As I recently decided to start my “flats era,” I’ve been on the hunt for a reliable everyday sneaker. Long story short, I finally gave into the hype and purchased the New Balance 550. Safe to say I’m obsessed. I also added a checkered blazer from Mango to my rotation. It seriously goes with everything.

I’ve been looking for polished, understated flats that feel just as alluring as a pair of high heels. So I was super-excited when I discovered this Saint Laurent pair. The square-toe silhouette, high-gloss finish, and metallic horsebits are all undeniably beautiful.

As temperatures start to settle above freezing and the trees begin to blossom, I’m doubling down on my fitness game. I finally invested in a pair of On Running sneakers, and I never want to take them off. Similarly, I’ve become a loyal fan of Beyond Yoga workout sets. So, I picked up the new blush pink colorway, which adds just the right amount of spring to my gym wardrobe.

After the shows in Europe, I always come back home wanting to do-over my closet and inject a little newness in my look. So I’ve been on a bit of a spree this month. I started with a pair of tailored pants because tailoring was all over the runway, so I like to get a head start and The Frankie Shop does it at a price that won’t break the bank. I also love Erin Beatty’s label Rentrayage, particularly her upcycled tees. A simple slip by Silk Launch was on my list—because layering!—and comfy cool Salomon sneakers.

March, like most other months, was a big trousers month for me. Most recently, I’ve purchased two pairs that I haven’t stopped reaching for. The first is a khaki pair from Madewell that I keep grabbing for as I slowly venture away from my all-black winter wardrobe. I also picked up a pair of vinyl pants from The Frankie Shop. They’re great for the office or a night out and I can definitely see myself getting a few more wears in before the warmer spring weather really kicks in. The best part? Both pairs are tall girl friendly.

We made it– we’re finally turning the corner from winter to spring in New York City, which means it’s time to start wearing mini skirts again. This set from Baum Und Pferdgarten is the perfect transitional outfit, and the color is [chef’s kiss]. I can’t wait to wear this with knee-high boots and then again with some strappy heels once it gets even warmer outside.

I recently purchased the iconic thong boots from Miu Miu in white and I am so excited to take them for a spin this spring! It took me a month to decide between the white and black and I finally decided on the white since I am notorious for having 10+ black boots in my collection.

My mom had this beautiful Chinese antique shagreen glasses case which I’ve always loved since small. It had the most subtle green celadon color and the smoothest touch. Living across the Atlantic from family, this cuff is somewhat my dupe keepsake far from home.

My new Agolde low-slung baggy jeans are quickly becoming a favorite item in my wardrobe. They are comfortable, effortless, and work with either a flat or a heel—a major score! I also have been loving this slightly sheer wool T-shirt from Cos. It’s a bit more dressed up, and I find this sleeve length to be flattering and versatile.

I’ve always struggled to dress during transition season, so I’ve made it a priority to amp up my winter-to-spring wardrobe. My first purchase? This Totême light ribbed sweater, which looks great tucked into a pair of jeans or trousers.

Lately, I’ve only been wearing flat shoes—a constant rotation of loafers and ballet flats—but I felt like a boot silhouette was missing from my shoe wardrobe. To fill the void, I picked up a pair of Khaite’s Volos booties from The RealReal this weekend. The heel is so short it’s basically flat, and I love the way the exaggerated pointed toe pops out from under my long baggy jeans for spring.

Every now and again, I like to do a refresh of the basics—and a good camisole is something that always goes a long way in my wardrobe. Cou Cou Intimates makes the best organic pointelle cotton and lace undies in simple black and white, as well as slip dresses and these camisoles.

This month, I decided to refresh my spring accessories with a new pair of sunglasses. When I first saw these Loewe frames, I thought they were way too wild for me, but surprisingly I instantly fell in love with them when I tried them on. They look super chic and easily elevate any outfit.

My closet is also in dire need of flats. Don’t get me wrong, I still adore all of my high heels, but I needed something to throw on and go during the weekends. So I decided to invest in a timeless pair of sandals that will never go out of style: the Saint Laurent Tribute slides.

I’ve been really craving balloon pants lately and acquired two different styles in February. This first—I’m kind of embarrassed to admit—I saw on an influencer’s page on Instagram, and I bought them almost immediately. They are only $75 and super comfy and make me feel like I’m either Kim Possible or in the background of a music video: a win. The other pair is more polished and from By Malene Birger: so sleek, so chic. The style goes with anything and is a midpoint between slacks and skinny pants.

I recently acquired Mansur Gavriel’s mini cloud crossbody bag, and it’s been my go-to ever since. I’m a double-duty-bag kind of person, so I’ve been pairing this with my everyday Khaite tote for office life and easy weekend outings. I love its ladylike silhouette and magnetic closure, and its new Sand shade is perfectly neutral to pair with anything in my closet. Pro tip: It doubles as an evening clutch for dinner dates too.

Now that winter is coming to a swift end, I’ve been on the hunt for a great transitional coat. This trench from H&M is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been leaning into neutrals recently, plus the beige color is ideal to match with everything. It’s also a bit oversized, which makes it easy to wear a sweater underneath. I’ve certainly been able to wear it a ton this month, and everyone always asks where it’s from because it’s that good.

I’ve been thinking about all things spring as of late, so when I saw this Paco Rabanne dress on sale over Presidents Day weekend, purchasing it was a no-brainer. To finish it off, I added a couple of Laura Lombardi jewels to my cart too. Warmer weather can’t come soon enough!

Uggs are hot (read all about this trend on Vogue Runway’s live blog), and mini Uggs have been one of my greatest purchases of the year: so soft, so cozy, and so easy to slip on and off. The mini length is perfect because my ankles always tend to be exposed, as I like my pants cropped, so now they stay warm and soft. Now I am on the hunt for the Molly Goddard Ugg platform mules that came out a few years ago!

The two crucial things I stocked up on before fashion month were my favorite Buck Mason white T-shirts, particularly their new supersoft long-sleeve henley, and a new perfect-for-running-around, everyday bag from Chloé.

I’ve always been a big vintage shopper, however this year I made the decision to always look at secondhand options first before I default to new. First on my list? A fringed suede jacket to carry me through the spring months. I found the perfect iteration on the pre-loved floor of Galeries Lafayette in Paris; however, if you’re looking for something closer to home, I recommend Etsy, which also has loads of great options. Next up was a denim midi-dress—ideally from the ’90s with a straight-fitting skirt. This month, I stumbled across a dreamy calf-grazing number on Beyond Retro online, which I’ll be wearing with knee-high boots and a layered roll neck right now, then with heeled mules and sunnies come summer.

Bangles are back! And I’ve been really, really into them. Could be my new obsession with all things Elsa Peretti after watching Netflix’s Halston series, but organic-shaped, minimalist yet clunky bracelets are looking absolutely delicious to me right now. I picked up something really similar to this Khiry Khartoum bracelet recently and can’t stop wearing it.

For Valentine’s Day, I bought myself flowers. I also bought myself the sunglasses I had been eyeing for quite some time. I love a sheer lens, so the moment I realized the iconic YSL Mica came in this colorway, it was game over for me.

These boots are another item I’ve had my eye on for a while. I guess February was the month of finally hitting “purchase” on all my long-held online shopping carts.
