Keeping Loewe’s glamour quotient up on a night unofficially sponsored by sequins was Kit Connor, who is quickly making a name for himself as a confident style plate unafraid to wear say, an iridescent coat with a corsage pinned jauntily to the lapel. The classic black vest and satin trousers worn underneath his Fashion Awards mac looked positively muted in comparison to the sparkly pants he wore to Vogue World: London back in September, but again signalled him out as someone to sit up and take note of – no mean feat when brushing shoulders with the industry elite.
Now that we’ve digested the best red carpet dresses (shout out to Alexa Chung, who wore no less than 3,980 heavy metal discs during her mission to become 2023’s answer to Joan of Arc), we can turn our attention to another pressing matter from the Fashion Awards 2023: the boys! Naturally Jonathan Anderson, who was crowned Designer of the Year, took his cohort of hot friends – sorry, campaign stars – along for the party at London’s Royal Albert Hall, where Hollywood (cheers to you Anne and Gwyneth) raised a glass to the industry’s rising talents (three cheers for Chopova Lowena who took home the New Establishment Womenswear prize).
