Inside Michelle Salas and Danilo Diaz’s Wedding in the Heart of the Tuscan Countryside

Salas’s wedding was also filled with sentimental details relating to her family. Prior to the ceremony in Italy, she was able to throw a party in Mexico in the company of her great-grandmother, the Mexican actress Silvia Pinal, organized by collector Eugenio Lopez. In addition, Salas wanted to pay tribute to one of her childhood memories of the perfumes that her grandmother, Silvia Pasquel, would keep in a wooden cabinet. To do so, she collaborated with the Mexican perfume brand, House of BŌ, to create a special fragrance for her wedding, named Ave María.

The celebration was attended by the bride’s family: her mother, Stephanie Salas, accompanied by her partner, actor Humberto Zurita; as well as her sister, actress, Camila Valero. Looking back at the day, Michelle happily admits that her wedding was everything she dreamed of as a child: “The place, my dress, the company… I couldn’t have asked for more. To have by my side a man who is my best friend and with whom I feel happy and fulfilled. Accompanied by my parents, my sister, other relatives, and the family you choose. Today I can say without a doubt that you have to be careful what you wish for, because if you really want something and you fight to get it, those dreams will come true.”

For her big day, Salas wore a spectacular custom-made dress by Dolce & Gabbana, after developing a close relationship with the brand over the past few years. Salas explained she wanted “something that felt sophisticated and festive”—and many months before her engagement, she had already thought of entrusting the Italian house with the design of her dress. In addition, she wore two more casual dresses over the course of the wedding weekend, and accessorized with jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

For the ceremony, the Mexican businesswoman wanted something “very small, very intimate, and very private. The idea was to be able to meet with the people who have accompanied us in our love story and simply bring them together to celebrate with them our union.” For this, she relied on the wedding planning service of Gutiérrez F Studio, owned by Fernando Gutiérrez, a wedding planner and one of her best friends for 15 years.

This past weekend, model and beauty blogger Michelle Salas married businessman Danilo Diaz Granados in Italy. The couple first met in 2016 through mutual friends. “It was love at first sight, and we haven’t been apart since we met,” the bride told Vogue.
