The leather bomber jacket’s rise was inevitable, given its presence on the fall 2023 runway. The Attico, Saint Laurent, Magda Butrym, and The Row all included the oversized coat in their collections, finding fans among stars like Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Hailey Bieber. It’s no surprise why the jacket has such an uptick in popularity; It lends a masculine touch to any outfit. Take Hailey Bieber, who regularly pairs the boxy outerwear with her summery ’fits. Whether she’s wearing her jacket over a lavender slip dress, or going full monochrome with an all-brown miniskirt and sweater, the roomy coat has become a go-to in her closet, creating contrast with her ultra-femme wardrobe.
One of the greatest parts of the leather bomber is its versatility. Bieber has taken the look to the sporty side, wearing her jacket over a big white tee, neon orange short-shorts, and Nike Air Maxes. But it’s also dressed down a date night look, creating contrast with her satin LBD and black pointy-toed heels.

With Kylie Jenner’s Khy on the scene, it’s apparent that the leather—or faux leather—bomber jacket isn’t going anywhere. While many stars are opting for the oversized look, Jenner has engineered a cropped, waist-baring bomber complete with puffy sleeves that still fulfill the boxy look. Gigi Hadid has also recently tried out the cropped leather bomber, wearing one for promotions with her Next in Fashion co-star Tan France. But others, like Huntington-Whiteley and Stranger Things star Sadie Sink have embraced the length and roominess of a true oversized leather bomber. The model paired her Saint Laurent bomber with a form-fitting nude turtleneck and slim-legged black trousers, while Sink leaned into the androgyny of oversized fashion, wearing a pair of baggy blue jeans and a beanie.
